The short history of social media: How did it all start?
In the last decade, social media has become an integral part of our everyday life, and therefore we often take it for granted.
It’s easy to neglect a long way that ideas like Facebook or Twitter have gone from universities and basements of young entrepreneurs to become great platforms for sharing ideas, thoughts, images, and memories which they are today. Social media are living systems, huge companies many of which end up forgotten (for example MySpace) while others evolve and become a part of our everyday communication.
In this infographic, we have decided to show the timeline of most significant and most important social media networks that have marked the past decade, and after which the way we communicate with our friends and receive news has changed irretrievably.
